Vedanta Foundation
Since 15th September 1992, Vedanta Foundation has been a multifaceted philanthropic initiative of London-listed Vedanta Resources Plc. It is a Public Charitable Trust registered under the Bombay Public Trust Act, 1950.

As a part of their philanthropic venture, they have been working tirelessly in the fields of Education, Nutrition & Livelihood such as providing basic education among the school children, child nutrition, essential vocational training such as computer literacy, women empowerment & most critical among all being employment to jobless youth

Vedanta Foundation joined hands with Serve Samman, 2 years ago by supporting our vocational centers. Serve Samman- Vedanta Vocational centre has branches spread across South Delhi and Uttrakhand and have been providing Computer literacy at minimal cost to over 250 students.

Vedanta also jointly along with Serve Samman, started a 1- lakh quilt project wherein the women at our vocational centres, stiched 1 lakh quilts, in a span of 8-months, which were sold with the help of Vedanta Foundation. Further, all the proceeds earned out of the project where given to the women involved, thereby enabling them earn a livelihood for themselves.

After the grand success of the project last year, the 1- lakh quilt project has been renewed again since April 2015.
